one of the singles from the 'remix project' in the mid-90s, when most of blondie's big hits were remixed to accommodate the deep and hard house club crowds, Atomic has a variety of interesting variations on here. Ironically, and a reminder of why the original is always the best, this single features what was called the 'new disco mix'. What exactly does that mean? It means, instead of remixing the song to current sounds, the original song was simply made into an extended version using only the original instrumentation of the original recording, as it would have been had the song been released as a 12" single back when it was first released. The result is the first ever extended version of one of Blondie's hottest disco/new wave hybrid tracks ever. If you're a HUGE fan of the original song and simply couldn't get enough of it, then this is the version you simply must have in your collection.
