Björk Guðmundsdóttir, nacida en Reykjavík, Islandia el 21 de noviembre de 1965. Publicó su primer disco con tan sólo 11 años, lo que la lanzó a la fama en su país natal. Posteriormente formó parte de diferentes bandas punk islandesas de la epóca como Tappi Tíkarrass o KUKL, pero fue con The Sugarcubes con quien alcanzó el reconocimiento internacional, que fue su plataforma para el despegue de su carrera solista, en 1993, con Debut.
