Description :
1995 hardcore EP. 8 tracks. Paper sleeve.Review - Amazon.com :
While touring behind Hello Nasty, the Beasties regularly busted out hardcore songs by the likes of Agnostic Front, Minor Threat, and Reagan Youth--along with their own take on Billy Joel's "Big Shot." The move came as no surprise to anyone familiar with this EP, on which the B-Boys collaborated with AWOL and returned to the hardcore roots documented on Some Old Bullshit. At eight tracks in just over 11 minutes, this hardly qualifies as extended play. There are better hardcore albums out there, and there are better Beastie Boys discs, but fans will still enjoy Aglio e Olio. --Randy SilverCustomer review - 1999-04-06
- This is punk rock! This is a really good 11 minutes 8 seconds of music. It's short, to the point, and hits you in the head like Mark McGwire smashes a baseball. Remember this in not a hip hop album, it's a hardcore EP. Although it's not as good as say, Minor Threat or the "Damaged" days of Black Flag, it's still good hardcore music, better than almost anything that passes for punk these days (hey Green Day, Offspring, or any of you other Southern California "power pop" bands take a listen, you might learn something). If you don't like your music hard, buy another B-Boy album. But if you yearn for early 1980s hardcore music, this is worth the 4 bucks!

- Awesomethese guys weren't always great hip-hop/rap artists...this album shows that...instead they were once great punk artists...this album is great. although the import gives you only one extra track - soba violence, otherwise the cd would cost 6 bucks...so in effect you are paying 17 bucks for 1:30 minutes, but it's worth it if you are a true fan like me!

- Great PunkThis album is punk at its best. Any true Beastie Boys fan should have this in their collection. All the tracks are awesome. The CD is sadly lacking "Soba Violence" which appears on the import.

- Great crossover! This CD is only 11 miniutes long, but it feels like more. This type of music sounds like mid 80's punk, but it's still good. The name of the CD, "Aglio E Olio" means Garlic and Oil in Italian.
