LONDON (Reuters) - Hawaii-born singer/songwriter Jack Johnson cruised to the top of the British album charts as Basshunter’s Euro dance track "Now You’re Gone" was the number one single for a fifth successive week.

Jonas Erik Altberg has been working under the name Basshunter for the past 10 years. The Swedish singer/producer/DJ has hit paydirt recently with 2008's Now You're Gone and this year's Bass Generation. His irritating music is a throbbing pulse with weak, lame pop vocals thinly attached.
