Armor for Sleep was an alternative rock band from Maplewood and Teaneck, New Jersey. Lead singer Ben Jorgensen recorded the first ever Armor For Sleep songs for $100 at a nearby recording studio, playing all the instruments by himself. He later met his band mates in college. The band was originally signed to EQUAL VISION RECORDS, which released the band's first two albums. As of April 2006, Armor for Sleep is signed to Sire Records. According to a recent post on the band's MySpace, their contract with EVR simply ran out and was not renewed.
