Marie-Claire Cremers, aka Amber, is still a wonderful talent and a star of the Dance genre. She has a great, expressive voice and she writes amazingly. Naked is a good CD for Amber fans to listen to and acquire: Yes, in particular, is a remarkable collaboration between Amber's voice, the stream-of-consciousness writing of James Joyce, and a solid dance genre beat. But the highlights don't change the fact that Naked has a lot of disappointments, based on two delusions: that Amber can sound like a Motown R&B diva and that fans who love the driving rhythm of her hit singles really want Amber to sing slow ballads. The first delusion is encouraged by one of her collaborators, Wolfram Dettki, who co-wrote "You're Sent From Heaven,""If There Would Be No Tomorrow," and "He." Sorry, Wolfram, Amber's accent imitating an African-American is a pallid substitute for soul. She lacks the belting gutsiness in her voice and the Gospel music background to pull off these selections. The second delusion shows up in the two songs, "Don't Say Goodbye" and "The Smile of My Child." I could hear Streisand or Dion making these into show-stoppers...but Amber doesn't have the power to pull it off. And do we really want to hear her mimic Streisand with a slow, lyrical love song?

Other reviewers correctly identify these last two cuts as faith-focused, family-value material: the lyrics of "Don't Say Goodbye" opposes divorce and the other cut tells us "The Smile of my child/Makes my life worth living." Even a sexist knows anti-feminism when he hears it (and doesn't feel comfortable with it). Perhaps Amber could create a separate album for Christian Rock fans...and Wolfram can find a real Black singer to work with.

Words can't describe how wonderful Ambers third album Naked is, but I will try. Sexual, Spiritual, Funky, Exciting. I didn't think it was possible she could come back with a better album than her previous, one of my favorites. Including 2 of the years best dance tracks Yes and The Need to Be Naked, Naked is filled with numerous songs that prove once again Amber is the best dance diva in music today. You're Sent From Heaven, He, Sex Without Sex, and Love On You, are all catchy dance pop gems that showcase Ambers strong vocals and sensual lyrics. My personal favorite which should be the next single released is a smash dance club anthem in waiting, is Sex and the City. Heart Pounding beats, clever lyrics, and fierce vocals make this track explode. Also included is a chillout remix of Sexual Lidadi, and the Thunderpuss Remix of The Need to Be Naked, which are nice extras to have. There is not one bad song on this album, and it should please all fans Ambers fans. A Must have for dance music lovers.

This song is very catchy and upbeat and make you get up off your feet and dance all night long! With vocals like "Take off my pants, my shirt, my socks and my shoes, I need to be naked with you...", you just have to love it and sing along! Another 10 out of 10!!

3. Anyway (Men Are From Mars)- This has to be just ONE of my favorite song on this cd. It is not a ballad, but not an upbeat song like Yes! or The Need To Be Naked! It has unique electronic beats in it, that I have never heard before in any song! The vocals are OUTSTANDING! The chorus is very catchy and this will be Amber's 3rd single after The Need To Be Naked. This is absolutely a 10 out of 10!!!

4. You're Sent From Heaven- Another great song, very POWERFUL! You can tell Amber sings from the soul on this one! 9 out of 10!

5. Dirty Thoughts- So unique and true! The lyrics are AWESOME! More cool vocal effects and electronic beats. Very catchy to sing along to.."Dirty Thoughts, like a train, that I'm on, and I can't...can't get OFF!! No, I can't get Oooooofff!!!" A 10 out of 10 for another hit from Amber!!

6. He- A very emotional and epic rollercoaster of love song, upbeat and catchy! A 9 out of 10!!

7. Sex Without Sex- Another dance song that would do great in clubs! Great lyrics, cool beat and classic Amber! A 9 out of 10!

8. Love On You- Very sensual and sexual song that would be great to play while in bed with your loved one! A very sexy song that sounds similar to a Janet Jackson song! Way to go Amber! 9/10

9. If There Would Be No Tomorrow- Starts off like a slow ballad but jumps into an upbeat dance track, very mysterious and fun!
An 8 out of 10 for this one!

10. Heavenly Proximity- Another classic Amber, dance all night to It's HEAVENLY PROXIMITY! A 10 out of 10

11. Sex And The City- This song is INCREDIBLE! All the fans and Amber hope this song becomes the theme song to the HBO show "Sex And The City"...Very hard, powerful beats and strong lyrics make up this song! If this doesn't make you move, nothing will! I can picture this in clubs with everyone's hands in the air! A definate dance anthem with a 10 out of 10 rating!!

12. Don't Say Goodbye- I would say that this is the first REAL BALLAD on this song. This is a very slow, beautiful song that forcasts Amber's beautiful voice and might even shed a tear to your eye! Don't Say Goodbye AMBER!! Ever! You get a 10 out of 10!

13. Sexual (Afterlife Chillout Remix)- Wow! Amber includes a remix of Sexual on her new cd, awesome! However, it is a BALLAD version of Sexual...get nasty, get sexy and get "NAKED" by Amber now! A 10 out of 10

14. The Smile Of My Child- Another ballad, so beautiful, it is very special to Amber, make it special to you the listener!
A real gem for Amber! A 9 out of 10!!

15. The Need To Be Naked (Thunderpuss Mix)- Amber never seems to amaze us, by including the Thunderpuss Mix of "The Need To Be Naked" on this cd as a bonus track, this is just as good as the originial but with the special THUNDERPUSS remix magic!!

I really have no idea what CD the previous reviewers listened to. I could barely sit through "Sexual"( or was it "Amber") after I rushed out and bought the only copy the local best buy had on opening day. At least there were a coupla songs that were pretty good but the rest-ack.
Then came "Naked", Amber's latest in single word titled releases. Well aside from Yes, which everyone has heard a million times, there is not one other dance song on this CD. And that's what I got into amber for- dance music.
You know what's even worse? This is music for 35-year old single women. Or soccermoms that are going through divorces.
After hearing this dreck, I went and found my old maxi-single of "One more night" the amazing CD with 10 mixes on it. I sat down and listened to the remix of "Being with you" and thought of how AMAZING Amber's music used to be. What the hell is going on now? I have no idea. Ah well.
