- Beautiful, sensual, poetic, romantic, but still ROCKS!Alejandro Sanz is a REAL artist, in the true meaning of the word. Here is a singer/songwriter who has actually taken his heart out from inside, is holding it in his hand to share it with the rest of the world. That's how he writes. But he sings not just with his heart, but with all of his soul. He's very poetic, sensual, sensitive, romantic, BUT he also definitely rocks!! This album is so versatile, that for sure you're bound to fall in love with at least one of the songs. Take your pick, from the poetic verses of "Y, Si Fuera Ella?" or the rockin' guitar sounds of "Hoy Que No Estas" and "Aquello Que Me Diste" or the salsa/flamenco sounds of "Corazon Partio," which is the one he'll probably be best known for. There's other styles, too, that will surely grab your attention. If one doesn't, for sure another one will. I don't have a favorite because I love them all. However, "Aquello Que Me Diste" comes to mind because it rocks and is so upbeat towards the end and the the broken glass just gets me. This album, or should I say this artist, makes you feel alive and brings a certain hope or faith that love still does exist and that THAT is truly all we need. Even though some songs may sound a little sad, there's still that sense of hope that love is just around the corner. And even though it may not be true in your life, at least his songs will tell you YES. I wish more people here in the US, who are not Spanish-speaking would learn to speak Spanish, so that they could see how beautiful this man really is... For me, this is NOT comparable to any other artist or album. There is just NO way; NO possibility; no one that comes close. The album, is not just a disc, but it's also a piece of his very own heart.

- masI discovered this gem of a collection by good luck in Cuba. It was played to me by a Cuban friend and I just had to have a copy. We danced under the stars to Corazon Partido in Santiago de Cuba and I just fell in love with this track .... she was the perfect person to be with too! Like other non spanish speakers we know his music and words mean so much to us even if we can not understand the language. Could any one send me an English translation of the lyrics because I really want to know what he says too ? I also hear there is a new CD out is that correct and can anyone tell me more on this @ P.J.Tracey@derby.ac.uk Here in the UK ...A.S is not known at all, well you know of course ! I love this music and listen to it so much i agree with everyone else so Wake up world and join us too ! Gracias Alejandro

- amazingAlejandro Sanz is not a singer, he is a poet, the musical structures he writes are absolute amazing (and I ought to know, since being a musician myself) but besides his impressive musical arrangements and production, what cautivated me the most are his abosolutelly amazing lyrics. Alejandro Sanz's vision of the world is very unique, the way he interprets what's around him, from "corazon partio" where he explains how it feels to have a broken heart, to "siempre es de noche" where he feels throught the heart of a blind man in love, it is simply outstanding. Great work from one of the most talented singer-songwriter of our time.

- Span SpamLo siento, muchachos, pero la musica aqui no es bien. Good on this Sanz fella for writing his own songs. Big problem, however, the lyrics and their delivery drip with unalloyed sentimentality - cloying and annoying. Even worse is the "backdrop" music, a schlocky blend of bland piano and studio knob nauseola. This album's indulgences and general Celine Dion production values insult the true beauty of Latin music, which is always, and I mean always, best performed with acoustic instruments, not with a crooner and computer. Maybe the "unplugged" album is shorter on the slurp. Has to be.

- Sanz is soothingI love Alejandro Sanz. Amiga Mia and Corazon Partio are AMAZING SONGS! Sanz is a true talent and his songs are absolutely beautiful. Having bought teh follow up cd, El Alma el aire, I'd have to say that there are fewer tracks on this cd that I really have fallen in love with.
