- Air Supply at their finest !!
Once again, this band that has been turning out great material for over 26 years, proves they still have what it takes. This is one of Air Supply's finest efforts yet ! If this album gets airplay here in the states--there are definite BIG hits on this one. The powerful ballad You are the Reason, featuring beautiful guest vocals by Indian female performer Mehnaz, is fantastic ! Another song that sounds like a huge hit is the incredible Don't Throw Our Love Away with it's soaring string arrangement !
Plus there are such emotional, stirring songs like the title track and the mournful Hard to Forget Her. I love the more rock oriented songs as well. Certainly these types of songs have always been a part of what Air Supply is and they showcase that talent well here. People who complain about lyrics like "potato chips, female hips" are pretty ridiculous to me. There are so many songs out there with nonsensical lyrics. Look at Duran Duran for instance. What the heck's a "lizard mixture" ? The bottom line is, a song like Body Glove is fun, and has a cool beat. Great job, Air Supply---keep 'em coming !

- I love it!!!
Ther are alot of bands that try to put out new albums that really suck. Air Supply ain't one of them. This is amazing. Sure they sound different, but the love and harmony is still there. I strongly suggest songs like "The Scene","Who Am I?", "Don't Throw Our Love Away", and the heart breaking "Hard to Forget Her". Buy this one. It is really amazing. Don't be picky, just listen to it for what it is... pure GENIUS

- It's A Classic
With songs such as "You Are The Reason," "Learning To Make Love To You," "Yours Truly," "Only One Forever," and SEVERAL OTHER great songs on the CD, I must say that this CD is a classic, and a must get for your CD collection! I will NOT say that I liked every single song on the CD, however. There are a few songs on the CD that I did not like, but MOST of the songs on the CD make it a great one!

The specific songs that I mentioned above are so much better than 95% of the garbage that is being aired on the radio today. The emphasis on the radio stations has totally ignored musical quality.

If you are looking into this CD, then I would say that there is a fair chance that you might be interested in other new CDs with new music from the older artists. I would personally recommend each and every one of these CDs that I am about to mention, but some of them cover a different type of music than "Air Supply," so I would only buy these CDs if you like these bands' older music. Here are just a few of the newer (meaning 21st century) CDs with new music from the older bands: Rod Stewart's "Human," Don Henley's "Inside Job," The Charlie daniels Band's "Road Dogs," Tiffany's "The Color Of Silence," Blue Oyster Cult's "Curse Of the Hidden Mirror," Quiet Riot's "Guilty Pleasures," Elton John's "Songs from The West Coast," Richard Marx's "Days In Avalon," Stevie Nicks's "Trouble In Shangi-La," Warrant's "Under The Influence," Doobie Brothers's "Sibling Rivalry," Sammy Hagar's "Ten 13," Peter Cetera's "Another Perfect World," Steely Dan's "Two Against Nature," Sade's "Lovers Rock," Kansas's "Somewhere To Elsewhere," Paul Simon's "You're The One," Huey Lewis & The News's "Plan B," Deborah Gibson's "MYOB," and Motley Crue's "New Tatoo." - A Valiant Effort
I was not dissapointed with this album at all. The album delivered with some very solid tracks. A few filler songs were found on the album, but all in all this this was a fine Air Supply album. These guys have been putting albums out about every two years for 30 odd years now, some hit...some dont. This one hit. It's worth getting. If your a fan of 80's Air Supply this album may not be the best one to get as the boys have gotten older and Russell's voice has changed quite a bit. He still sounds good but you wont recognize him as the same singer, but I assure you he is ;)

- Give them A BREAK!!!!
I'm sitting here reading some of the reviews , and one review actually started with the word "Horrible". Yours Truly , in my opinion , which you may tell me to shove , is one of their finest works to date. Now I have been an AirHead since the eighties , at the begining. I mean Russell was my idol. I wanted to be him , but lets call a spade a spade , voices deepen and change with age...hello!!! They're not 20 anymore , and I guess it would have been nieve to put on this cd and expect the vocal range of "Making love out of nothing at all" , but I thought Russell's voice shined on "Tell me of Spring" and "If You Love Me". People are actually saying this album isnt as good as Book of Love , and to that I say PLEASE!!!! You cant compare the two. Just listen to Dont throw our love away , or Yours Truly. I will admit , that The Vanishing Race was an exceptional album , but I thought Too sentimental was a bit high and jackson 5 ish....If I am being honest...They have yet to touch their 85 self titled, in my opinion , the best CD they've ever done, but yours truly deffinitely deserves a listen. I gave it four stars because the 5 star prize goes to the 85 self titled
