ABC is the present vehicle for Martin Fry, originally formed as a four-piece, and were one of the major players in the new wave movement of the early 1980s. They could perhaps also be credited with creating the short-lived pigeonhole of 'sophisti-pop' - smart suits, clever lyrics and elaborate synth-based melodies. ABC was formed in 1980 after Martin Fry, a music journalist, interviewed the band Vice Versa for his fanzine Modern Drugs. |

Tbilisi Alter/Vision/newcomers Location: Sport's Palace
In the frame of Tbilisi City Holidays (“Tbilisoba”) in 2009 on October 23rd the concert, Tbilisi Alter/Vision/newcomers will be held at Sport's Palace. The festival administration will give the best musicions a stage on the festival, Tbilisi Alter/Vision held in May 2010. The participation in Festival will enable young musicians to step into and strengthen on the international musical scene.
The concert on 23rd of October will be closed by the performance of two European bands at Sport's Palace.
Specially invited DJ will perform on October 23 and 24 at the night club.
