Today marks the seventh anniversary of the death of American R&B singer and actress, Aaliyah Haughton. Aaliyah died in Abaco in 2001, when the plane she was aboard crashed shortly after take-off, 200 feet from the runway.

Nine On Your Side first brought you this story back in February when Aaliyah Green, a nine week old infant, was taken to the University of North Carolina Children’s Medical Center after receiving blunt force trauma to the head. Aaliyah Green later died from her injuries.
