- AWESOMEThe 2 new tracks alone are worth the price.
If you haven't heard the other songs.... you are missing out on only a piece of the finest rap ever produced. Buy this cd.

- What is she doing? What is she doing? This release is a joke. Theres only like a handful of songs. The cd could fit so many more songs. A lot of hits are missing. These record companies are thieves. This product is so embarassing and such a waiste of money. Why not put out a quality best of with all the hits. It's missing like at least 15 songs. I don't get it. This is why people steal music. She should really stop putting out product because shes cheapening his image. I mean everything from 1996 to 2003 was quality and then it started going downhill. I don't think I'm even buying the next album.

- great cdi thought this was a good compilation of pacs classic tracks, i honestly think itl take like 10 cds to fit all of his best work possibly more, though i still recommened the older greatest hits compilation, this one is just as good because of the bonus tracks and the digitaly remastered tracks, not recommended if you already have every tupac cd, but highly if your trying to get into him.

- This and "Part 1: Thug" are for the hardcore Tupac fanI won't go deep into detail on each song as almost all of them will be familiar to most Tupac fans. Even though Part 1: Thug and Part 2: Life are sold separately, they are meant to be part of one compilation, as evidenced by Afeni Shakur's little open letter inside.
If you're just getting into Tupac, and you're seeking a compilation, it's better to the "Greatest Hits" 2-CD compilation from 1998, as it's a good, solid overview of Tupac's work, having most of the tracks Tupac fans will need in a 2-CD set.
The problem with this new compilation (and Part 1: Thug) is that they mostly offer songs already available on other Tupac CDs. There are some "unreleased" tracks offered, only two or so, and they're not worth the price of purchase. There are other officially unreleased tracks that should be here, such as "Life's So Hard."
And another thing that weakens these compilations is that their titles ("Thug" and "Life") first give you the impression that "Thug" will have the harder songs and "Life" the more reflective ones. But the "Life" compilation interestingly enough is the only disc that has songs with "Thug" in the titles, and the "Thug" disc has some reflective/heartfelt songs, such as a remix of "Dear Mama," which, by the way, is nowhere near a match for the original -- this remix practically takes all the emotion out of the song.
So, unless you're a Tupac fan that has to have everything get these compilations, otherwise you can skip them.
